The ultimate notepad for Mac

There's a slew of notepad programs for Mac out there so it gets harder to distinguish one from the other. iOrganize stands out thanks to its clean user interface.

The application modeled like successful Apple applications like iTunes, Mail or iPhoto makes it easy to skip through your saved notes, in a list view on the left, to look into a specific category via the top window and preview a note from the bottom section of the interface. iOrganize lets you keep not only notes but even photos, links, or PDFs, all of these which you can quickly drag and drop. You can set a different priority level for each note and create as many categories as you want to store them in. If you need to save your notes somewhere else you can export them in three different text formats.

iOrganize also serves up a very good search function, with which you can quickly find anything saved in iOrganize. The program also comes with a Spotlight plugin, which will allow you to search directly in your notepads.

Thanks to a clear interface and a number of useful features, iOrganize makes for a good notepad application for Mac.

  • Pros

    • Simple interface
    • Good search function
    • Works with Spotlight
  • Cons

    • Have to install the Spotlight plugin

User reviews about iOrganize

by Tavia Thomas

There haven't been any reviews of this program in years, but I would like to report that I am still using it in 2019 with no issues in El Capitan. But, I'm getting ready to upgrade to High Sierra, as TurboTax is requiring it. I'm nervous about losing iOrganize, because I use it daily and really don't want to give it up. I will still be able to run it on a desktop Mac that I will not be upgrading, and I have made a backup copy of my data files, but I really want to keep it on my laptop. So, I'm keeping my fingers crossed! (I rated this program as a 9 and not a 10 only because Bruno has abandoned it.)

Great App but appears to be abandoned by developer....... I have been religiously using this program for eons but..... it appears that the developer has abandoned it since 2010 and is no longer available for support. Emails go unanswered. So, I am looking for a replacement notepad :( for future versions of Mac OS. This still works on Lion with occasional crashes btw.

iOrganize & Lion. This is a great note pad, one that I have used for several years. It is easy to use and very reliable. I am sure that there are others like me who have a ton of information of all types stored in documents created by this app. We would all like to know that this information is going to remain accessible if we upgrade to Lion. It would be very helpful if the developer would comment on it's compatibility. Bruno Blondeau please respond. Pros: Simple clean interface. Cons: None to date

In Softonic we scan all the files hosted on our platform to assess and avoid any potential harm for your device. Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.

We’d like to highlight that from time to time, we may miss a potentially malicious software program. To continue promising you a malware-free catalog of programs and apps, our team has integrated a Report Software feature in every catalog page that loops your feedback back to us.

Flag any particular issues you may encounter and Softonic will address those concerns as soon as possible.
